What is aluminium? 

Over the years, garden has been made from many different materials. Natural rattan has moved to a synthetic plastic resin known as PU rattan as it is cheaper and hardwearing. Can aluminium rust? 

Aluminium has a rather special quality to make itself more resistant to corrosion. As the aluminium mixes with the oxygen in the air, it forms a kind of protective film made from aluminium oxide. This layer then stops other elements from interacting with the aluminium and can therefore be left outside for long periods of time. Aluminium patio furniture essentially removes the need to store the furniture over the colder months. 

Is aluminium heavy? 

Due to aluminium's density, it is one of the lightest metals. Even though aluminium is light, it is also very strong. It can take the brunt of everyday use, safely hold a decent amount of weight, and means it is easily transported. Modern nowadays is using contrasting colours and harder edges, which aluminium achieves brilliantly.
